My name is C.Bennett and I am a visual artist highlighting positivity and kindness. Every day I am thankful for the ability to be part of a family and a community. I know that I can make my community stronger by sharing my positivity and smile. If I can inspire someone else to smile, be kind, or to take a moment to help someone in need, I have succeeded.

With the use of vibrant colors and rich textures, my art illustrates a message of hope! From afar you see beauty and harmony but as you get closer to the art you see the small details and individual acts that create a connected living community. I use my art to voice the rich culture of a community. Highlighting the past present and future I strive to create uplifting art and inspiration yet embody a diverse community working harmoniously together.

It has been my dream to motivate and uplift my community through the Art experience. I find the creative process to be a therapy that creates opportunities to connect deeply with others instantly. unforgettable experiences making positive changes to our community is what I live for!

I believe art is a universal language that everyone can enjoy. There is no right or wrong way to create art. Only the experience of being present and open to new ideas. Come along with me on an adventure of positivity through Art.

Quincy Square - 4th St. // Bremerton WA, 4 story Parking structure

I am absolutely thrilled to be part of such an incredible project right here in my hometown of Bremerton, WA. Working alongside Kadavien Baylor, an amazing public artist from Shreveport, Louisiana, has been an absolute joy and privilege. Together, we've brought to life a breathtaking mural on a 4-story parking structure in the Creative Arts district on 4th St, near the Historical Roxy Theater. This project holds a special place in my heart as it is dedicated to honoring Quincy Jones and other African American Trailblazers of Kitsap County who have made such a profound impact on our community, enriching Bremerton for generations to come. Quincy Jones, who spent his early years attending school here, has a remarkable story that truly resonates with us. His experiences growing up in Sinclair Heights, an African American housing project for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard employees, and his passion for music are incredibly inspiring. Through this vibrant mural, Kadavien and I aimed to inspire the community and remind viewers of the rich and diverse history of Bremerton. It's our hope that this mural will serve as a powerful tribute to the remarkable individuals who have shaped the cultural fabric of our city.

Friday Harbor - Blair Avenue // San Juan Island, WA 240ft

Summer 2021, Josh Fisher and I were commissioned by the city of Friday Harbor, San Juan Island to paint a 240 foot wall in the downtown district on Blair Ave. We were overjoyed by the love we received from the Island community! We even had the youth come out and help us make some magic on this stunning mural!

Congressional Art Competition - Capitol Building // Washington DC , Keynote Speaker

It all began when I received a call from U.S. Representative Derek Kilmer of Washington's 6th Congressional District, inviting me to speak at the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. To say I was honored would be an understatement. I was humbled to serve as the keynote speaker at the 2022 Congressional Arts Competition, addressing the talented winners whose work embodies the future of visual arts.

The experience of flying into our nation's capital, not only as an artist but as one who was celebrated for pursuing a career in the arts, was deeply moving. To be able to share my journey with young, aspiring artists was an absolute privilege. It was a moment that reaffirmed the power of art to shape and inspire.

What brought me the greatest joy, however, was meeting so many gifted and passionate young individuals, brimming with excitement about their creative futures. After sharing my own experiences, I had the chance to connect with them personally, engaging in meaningful conversations that I hope will guide them as they embark on their own artistic journeys.

The Congressional Arts Competition is doing invaluable work to cultivate the next generation of artists, and I am proud to be an unwavering supporter of such a remarkable initiative.

“Business is Blooming” // Co-Motion at the University of Washington, 35ft

A dream come true…

It has been a long-held dream to adorn the walls of Seattle with a captivating mural, so when Josh Fisher and I were approached by the Seattle non-profit, Urban Artworks, to craft a vibrant masterpiece for UW’s Co-Motion, we were overjoyed!

Co-Motion stands as a beacon for the UW community on their journey of innovation, offering the tools, connections, and expertise needed to transform ideas into tangible economic and societal impact. Our creation is a multi-layered mixed-media mural, drawing inspiration from the graceful rhododendron blossoms and the iconic cherry blossoms. In a collaborative spirit, we invited the staff and students to join us in crafting a colorful backdrop adorned with unique splatters and brush strokes. It is a profound honor for us to see our work of art come to life within the walls of Condon Hall, adding a touch of creativity and inspiration to the UW campus.

AMLI - Park Broadway // Long Beach CA 40ft x 10ft

Long Beach CA is a magically diverse oasis that cultivates the Arts and nurtures creativity. I was super pleased to bring life into the new Park Broadway Maker’s Space with a 40ft long mural. Directly adjacent the new down town LBC Library, it’s such an honor to be among the great murals of Long Beach.

“Heroes” // Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA) - 2021

What a thrill it has been to showcase my passion with the community I call home. Heroes is more than just an exhibition; it's a celebration of the individuals who have shaped and inspired me throughout my life. Each piece reflects the profound impact of my personal heroes, the people and moments that have guided me, from childhood to the present day.

Growing up, I never fully realized the extent to which music, movies, and pop culture influenced my perspective on the world. This exhibition has been a series of pivotal moments where I have been able to reflect on those influences and share them through my work.

The opportunity to present Heroes at BIMA has been a dream come true. It has not only allowed me to display my work to a wider audience, but it has also given me the privilege of becoming part of the BIMA family. The support, collaboration, and the opportunity to connect with others who share the same passion for positivity and community have truly made this experience unforgettable.

Being able to contribute to this artistic journey, and to share a piece of myself with those around me, has been an incredibly fulfilling moment in my career. I’m deeply grateful for the chance to be part of this exhibition, and for the ways in which art can bring us together to celebrate our heroes and the stories that connect us all.
