Vibe Coworks // Poulsbo WA

The first LEED Platinum Co-Working Space in Kitsap Country asked us to imagine murals that were fresh, full of color, and inspired by street art. The founders, relocating from New York City, had an appreciation for the unexpected splash of color and images found throughout the city and in their own way, wanted to bring that experience to their new home town and in their newly created coworking company.

Two proposals, two themes. One wall was the lobby wall, seen upon en- try to the space. The second wall was in a room they called, “The Porch”, a lounge area for relaxing in a comfy chair.

For “The Porch Room” we painted an abstracted background with colors inspired by lush floral landscapes. We then hand painted filagree illus- trations of garden flowers, birds, butterflies, snails, and dragonflies. In contrast to a NYC hand painted name tag, we instead tagged the wall with whimsical illustrations of what you might see sitting on a porch

On the entrance wall to the space, we had an opportunity to help create the first impression of this new business. Collaborating with the clients, we ended up with an idea that captures the spirit and aspiration of the new business, to inspire individuals to journey together towards their vision and dreams of the future.

When we think of the future, we picture our children and the world they’ll inherit. Our actions today determine the future and we couldn’t think of a more fun way to welcome people to the new space by having an abstracted background, with fresh, colorfull splashes of paint, over which we hand cut and painted stencils of two kids flying into their cre- ative future...the two kids just happened to be our two oldest toddlers!
