Description

July 16, 1925 – May 5, 1982. As a elementary school kid I was always over joyed when it was time for music class remember our school had an outstanding set up of vibraphones. Our teacher would put on a film to inspire and sure enough this is where I first heard the name cal tjader. It was in that moment watching him play with so much freedom I knew I wanted to be a musician. There is something about the vibrations of metal bars that touched my soul. This painting serves as a testimonial to how important music is for young children. It is essential that we educate and demonstrate music in our curriculums.
