C.Bennett: Heroes

Oct 8, 2021 - Jan 30, 2022

Bainbridge Island Museum of Art (BIMA) is pleased to announce, Heroes, a solo exhibition by C.Bennett. His work is described as Neo-Pop, combining pop themes, iconic images, and neo-expressionist techniques to reflect modern society and its complexities.

An active muralist and community-based artist, Anderson displays a unique combination of urban street style with the use of found media and finds an endless supply of complex and relevant subject matter. Each painting evokes a sense of reverence, often mixed with nostalgia.

C.Bennett’s heroes range from political figures, writers and poets, musicians, actors, and other recognizable icons. He beckons the viewer to ponder their own heroes and to celebrate their contributions to our lives. He notes: “I paint imagery that evokes beauty through story-telling and positive messages. I strive to elevate others through art. I like to think that by creating, I can affect or change the lives and the outlooks of people that I would otherwise never have the chance to affect.

BIMA is located at 550 Winslow Way E., Bainbridge Island, WA 98110. For press inquiries or questions about works available, please contact info@artbycbennett.com
